This week between Christmas and New Year’s Day is one of my favorite times of year because it is typically down time for most businesses. For me, this down time affords me the quiet time needed to reflect on the past year and set my sites on the year ahead. It serves as a sort of reset button.
Most of us are ready to bid good riddance to 2020, and for good reason. But before you do, take the time to reflect on what the past year has given you. It’s easy to see what the pandemic has taken from us, but it has also given us blessings. For me, that is more time in my own home rather than hotel rooms and airports.
Before you set the reset button to start the new year, think about what you are grateful for. What will you hold on to?
