With an extensive background in health care and leadership development, Susan is passionate about the dynamics of health care, as well as personal and organization change.  Susan has spent over 25 years immersed in the dynamics of health system and practice management. Susan’s coaching, research, and consulting focus is on the nexus between organizational change and leadership development. She is dedicated to partnering with leaders so they can make a greater impact in their institutions and the world. Informed by the experiences as a healthcare executive, higher education leader, and healthcare/organizational leadership professor, Susan uses strengths-based, question thinking and design thinking approaches to support leaders and teams in the successful pursuit of strategic and transformative initiatives.

Susan grasps complexities and her approach emphasizes the transformational shifts, as she assists leaders to grow and integrate learning in new and changing environments.  She is a long-range thinker and fosters collaboration, building trust, and promoting unity within organizations. Susan brings practical approaches and proven methodologies to her work as she assists physician and executive leaders to identify and articulate their vision and develop and execute strategies to achieve their goals. As a leader in the field of performance improvement, access initiatives, digital engagement strategies and financial performance, she relies on evidence-based models to lead organizations through transformational change.

She has held key executive positions in private practice, academic health centers, community-based health systems, not for profit health networks, and physician group practices. Susan has held diverse roles in executive and board membership to mentorship and holds faculty positions for several healthcare administration and organizational leadership programs across the country.  Susan has earned her Ph.D. in organization and management, MPA in public administration and health policy, is board certified in medical practice management and holds a Fellowship in the Medical Group Management Association. Her passions away from work include reading, walking with her dogs, and spending time with her family.
