Dr. Keith Mausner attended the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he graduated with honors and as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed residency training in emergency medicine, where he served as chief resident, and a fellowship in EMS at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is board certified in emergency medicine, and a fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.
He served four years on active duty as a physician in the United States Air Force, and practiced emergency medicine in New Mexico and Wisconsin. He served as State EMS Medical Director in New Mexico, and has served as medical director of multiple EMS agencies. Currently, he is Adjunct Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he has a leadership role in quality management and education with Flight For Life of Wisconsin.
Dr. Mausner’s primary professional interests are emergency medicine and EMS quality management, error reduction, education, patient and provider safety, engagement and well-being, and Just Culture.
