This week between Christmas and New Year’s is a great time to bring 2016 to a close, and gear up for success in 2017. It tends to be quieter than other weeks, creating a lull that is ideal for reflection and planning. As you look back at your patient experience goals for 2016, consider both the organization’s progress as well as your own. Did you hit the goals you had for patient satisfaction scores and employee engagement? How about goals you had for your own personal or professional development? If you find yourself looking back at 2016 with some disappointment over unmet goals, don’t be too hard on yourself. Many of you are in uncharted territory trying to navigate a new role with increasing importance to the organization.
Looking ahead at 2017, make sure you have a plan with clear priorities. This is an ideal time to engage a coach who can help you make 2017 a success for the organization and for you personally. This is the opportune time to consider enrolling in the PXP Advisor©. You’ll get a personal coach who will help you lay out a three year action plan while building your leadership skills, and your ability to engage others in improving the patient experience.
It’s good to look back and summarize, but it’s even more important to lay out a plan for this year’s success.
